How to choose a tire shop
Tire-Finder lists the shops in a city directory and the real count. It does not rank a best shop or publish star ratings, so confirm the job and the price with the shop.
Updated
A listing is an address and the services the shop recorded
Tire-Finder city pages list shops from the directory. The count on a city page is the number of public shops whose address parses to that city. It is not a ranking, a review, or a promise the shop is open.
Tire-Finder does not grade a shop and does not publish star ratings. Treat the address, phone, and services as directory information and confirm them with the shop before you go.
Do not treat the order of a list as a recommendation.
Questions worth asking before you book
Ask whether the shop works on your vehicle and on the tire you have. Run-flats, low-profile tires, and TPMS sensors are the jobs that most often need a yes or no in advance.
Ask for the quote in writing and for what it includes: mounting, balancing, a new valve, TPMS service, disposal of the old tire, and alignment if you wanted alignment. A price that leaves those out is not comparable to one that includes them.
If you have a second set, ask whether they can swap wheels only, and whether they store the off-season set. Storage is only shown as a service when that shop’s listing includes it.
Services on a Tire-Finder listing are the ones stored for that shop. If a service is missing, ask. The blank is not proof the shop cannot do the job, and a listed service is not a warranty.
Use the directory, then confirm the details
Open the city page for the place you will actually drive to, then open the shop page for the address and phone on file. Call or message to confirm hours. Directory hours can be wrong.
Common questions
Does Tire-Finder rank the best shop in a city?
No. City pages show the shops in the directory for that city, with the real count. There is no star rating and no sponsored order described as a review.
What does a shop listing guarantee?
Nothing about quality or hours. It is directory information. Confirm the address, hours, and the job with the shop before you go.
